There was only one other table filled, but the place filled shortly after we arrived. There are several different size tables and a bar to sit at. With only one server that day, she was still quick to serve everyone coming it and the tables. She definitely is a friendly, hard worker. We ordered appetizers (squid karaage, chicken gyoza, and park gyoza) to share first to give us more time to figure out our main meals. The squid karaage was a little overcooked, making a little chewy. I ordered the Ultimate Chashu Ramen, and my wife ordered the Spicy Tan Tan Ramen with extra chashu and egg. You also get to choose the type of ramen noodles you want. The chashu was done correctly charred thin slices of pork belly. The chashu was delicious. The broth was not as flavorful than overall favorites of mine, but I would say it's a top five for San Diego for me. The atmosphere was fun and decorated well. I would definitely come back for more.
We ordered takeout. The place was decently busy and seemed to be getting a lot of take out orders. Bowl was solid.
I had my first ever ramen here. I always thought ramen had meat. But the vegetarian ramen here is surprisingly very good. I had sopporro vegetarian ramen.Vegetarian options: Good number of vegetarian options
Tried the salmon bento and tofu steak bowl for lunch and were both great. definitely trying the ramen next time.
We started with a few appetizers to share: squid karaage, chicken gyoza, and pork gyoza, which allowed us some extra time to decide on our main courses. The squid karaage was slightly overcooked, resulting in a bit of chewiness. I ordered the Ultimate Chashu Ramen, while my wife opted for the Spicy Tan Tan Ramen with extra chashu and an egg. I appreciated the option to choose the type of ramen noodles. The chashu was perfectly prepared—thin, charred slices of pork belly that were absolutely delicious. While the broth wasn’t as flavorful as some of my personal favorites, I would still rank it among my top five ramen spots in San Diego. The atmosphere was lively and well-decorated, making for an enjoyable dining experience. I would definitely come back for more!
