Eggies - S San Diego

Came here to grab some quick breakfast before going to the airport. It didn't disappoint. Got the Eggies Classic sandwich, along with an order of churros. The over easy runny egg on the sandwich was divine, as it was packed full of flavor. The churros were a perfect touch to finish off the breakfast. Service was quick, efficient, and friendly. I wish I had this place where I live!

Ordered 5 times only time that was good was the very first time I ordered the egg jar I liked the concept I asked for eggs well done no yolk, came perfect exactly what I asked for. Next 3 times I order I ask them I even call them on the phone tell them how I want the jar and every time it’s all under cooked slimely and smelly, each time I try a little bit and am sick the whole day. I wonder why I’m getting sick of their food. Maybe they sit out at room temp and reheat, who knows, but It always makes me sick. .and I only kept ordering in hopes that it would taste like the first time. Then today I order the new French toast jar that tasted like they made it a week ago and threw it in the freezer. It’s served ice cold the top is no flavor and the French toast part was a mixture of hard and soggy peaces that had only the flavor of staleness (if you ever had stale food you know the taste is very distinct)and to top it all off the jar smelled like raw egg yolks because they are reusing the jars. Also there was no brûléed sugar on Top, just slimy goop. There was also no strawberry component. Only strawberry there was the few fresh slices on top. Very odd.I refunded it immediately and went to a different place and ordered some yummy warm donuts. I would avoid eating here tbh the owner needs to fix the menue and quality control what’s being served because it really is not that hard to serve warm French toast with fresh ingredients and hard brûléed sugar. But instead you get defrosted stale bread pieces with weird textured goop on top. Honestly I would have preferred the slimy egg jar instead of that mess.

Came because of the other reviews and was not disappointed. This place is stellar. Probably the best breakfast sandwich I’ve had, with a good balance of flavors. Solid choice for sure.

The price of $9 was totally reasonable for fried chicken sandwich. Soft bun and fresh ingredients. Food comes relatively slow, but everything is made to order. Recommended.

We ordered two sandwiches and had to wait more than 30 minutes for them! we actually wanted a lime crumble and a strawberry crème brûlée, but unfortunately they weren't available anymore, 10 am! The sandwiches tasted good, but waited for more than 30 minutes, unfortunately only 2 stars.
