Dumpling Inn Shanghai Saloon

The soup was excellent, but I felt the dumplings were only so so. Our pot stickers were overcooked and tough and chewy. Other dumplings were OK, but nothing to rave about. On the other hand, the soup was very good. Be warned that a large bowl of soup is a very large bowl of soup.

It wouldn’t occur to me to get Chinese food when on vacation, but Dumpling Inn showed up on multiple recommendation lists so gave it a try. Hands down the best Chinese food I’ve had. Unfortunately I couldn’t take any pictures because we ate everything so fast! The honey glazed shrimp is a dish I know I’ll think about wistfully when I’m back home…

Point mustache waiter was excellent. Ambiance was neither disappointing nor impressive, so negligible. Food was far less than impressive. Noodle soup was basically water with bland ingredients. Dumplings were equally bland, no sauce provided. On par with your local all you can eat Chinese food.
