Chocolat Hillcrest - S San Diego

Could have been great but someone walking on the street threw the trash can and trash all over the street 3 times during the hour we were there. The food was just ok, nothing to write home about. The staff was excellent and very nice. Could have went to a very nice restaurant with what we paid after dinner and crepes to go that were were not sure about eating when we left.

I love supporting local businesses and I keep giving this place an additional chance...but I think that for now, I won't be returning there because of the bad service. I went there a couple days ago and the service was HORRIBLE, so horrible that I thought it was a prank. It was during the evening and the lady behind the counter was clearly angry, slamming plates, angrily shutting doors, throwing things... she was clearly demonstrating that she was not happy at that moment. I was going to eat some ice cream there with my bf, but ended up asking to have as take out because the vibe was TENSE. Nobody was addressing her behavior. Other customer were also so uncomfortable and in shock....Unfortunately, I wanted this place to work since we are locals, but I will go support other local businesses until this one decides to improve their customer service...

The place was just delightful the staff were wonderful and patient and kind and helpful the food was great nocona coffee was excellent she brought a little coffee holder and you got like two cups out of it so that was really nice too

Parking sucks. Hostess was arguing with the homeless woman outside, which kinda took over the whole place. Food was good.

Very good taste and flavor for the dessert. Excellent lasagna
