Callahan's Pub Brewery - S San Diego

I 'm typically anxious about ordering American pizza where it 's all about the cheese, but the Barbeque Chicken Pizza had a sweet barbeque sauce and enough cheese. My only, but major complaint is the chicken cubes were small and concentrated in the middle of the pizza. I 'd like to have chicken in every bite since that 's the main ingredient. I don 't remember the other toppings (oh yes, red onions), but just that it was a great combination of flavors that complemented the sauce. The other dish we ordered was Steamed Vegetables with a cup of Jalapeno Cheese Soup. It was an overwhelming amount and variety of ;al-dente ; (not mushy) veggies. I 'm biased against the soup because orange cheddar is one of my least favorite cheeses, but if you ordered this because you ;have to ; to eat your vegetables, then the Jalapeno did give “oomph . I was fine with salt and pepper. But, really it was great to order steamed vegetables in a pub, where food is usually deep-fried. The Blueberry Wheat home brew was smooth with not much bitterness. It was easy to drink (almost too easy).
