Docks Seafood - S Portland

Would not go back. While the fried scallops were incredibly delicious, the clam chowder was quite good, but the crab roll unfortunately was quite underwhelming. The flesh alone was quite mild, and no brown butter, lemon or herbs were there to zhuzh it up. As there was a big party that just left from the place, and the owner refused for us to sit in one of the 6 free tables, and let us wait outside until we were called 25 minutes later. The server offered good care during the meal.

The food was AMAZING You will not regret the food. The picnic tables were uncomfortable to sit on but we moved and were much happier that way. Our server was super nice and not unhappy by that request, which made the experience much smoother.

We visited Maine this weekend with friends and , found Dock's in our way to a light house. The quality and price are much better than restaurants in the center of Portland. Everything is cooked fresh and delicious. We end up going back the next day before returning home.Best Seafood Showder we.ever tasted.

Very good Scallops and because I was flying out the next morning, I got crab cakes for dinner and they were good hours later.

Great seafood and great prices. A little noisey, but food overcomes the noise.
