Old Castle - Ruskin

For those who think the food is flavorless...you have to remember this is German food. I went here with my boyfriend and convinced him to split a sampler so we could try a variety of dishes. We both really enjoyed the sausages, which had a nice snap to them, and the sauerkraut. The schnitzel was also enjoyable, like eating chicken tenders. We washed it all down with beer. However, I would not recommend the apple strudel as it was lacking in filling and strangely chewy. We also tried sauerkraut balls, which were incredibly addictive.

This restaurant is so popular that every customer is a regular. The authentic German cuisine is highly recommended, as well as purchasing a stein from them.

The food was delicious, receiving a perfect 5 rating from me. The service was also top-notch, with attentive and friendly staff members. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, earning another 5-star rating. I highly recommend trying the Sample Platter, as it was a standout dish during my meal.

I highly recommend trying their Giant Pretzel dish.
