Rafters Lounge - Rossland

The food is just awesome. Great for vegetarians, which I am, and I am always sad to see the hill close for the season. In recent years I've noticed the food getting better with healthier and tastier options!

Good place for apres, but they really need to know how to serve hot coffee too! Nachos was amazing, just let down with the cold coffee.

Not only for Apres Ski but we managed to get here for lunch one day. Now I know skiing is a family sport, but prefer places without them to relax. This is it. Barnish a bit inside, but warm enough to kick back and talk about the day on the slopes. lots of varied seating from bar stools with back on them to comfy sofas around a huge coffee table.There is a great ever changing local beer supply and served by great service staff. WE talked to a number and they are knowledgeable on not only the food and drink but local haunts as well.A bit of a view of the lower hill and surrounds. This place also has an outside access door so you don't need to traipse your way through the base lodge each time. you may think as you walk in this is a young peoples place, but you soon find people of all stripes here. We even ran intoa few people who just came out from town to go there. Seems there is live music there at times as well.This place rounds out the Red Experience nicely.

Stopped here for a quick snack before heading to Spokane after my last day of skiing. It's an old school ski lodge bar, and that is a good thing. In the era of the corporate ski area (rhymes with snail), the low key, high awesomeness ski bar is an endangered species. Bands will play here, people will party here. There is an area specifically for those with kiddos during the day (I believe adults only later on). Good service and chill vibe. Grab a beer and some poutine (or any other pub grub) for lunch or apres. You will almost certainly enjoy yourself.

Went for late lunch after skiing and tried the Stacked to the Rafters Burger @ $ 17. Wow it was stacked with almost everything including the kitchen sink. But is was GREAT flavour and juicy. Service was fast and staff very friendly. Great place to have an Après after a day on the slopes.
