We had taken off the menu. there were few people for a Saturday dinner, so we didn't want to wait as long as we did to serve, but we knew that the cook was alone. well, we had no hurry. the lion burger was delicious and the pommes were excellent, although I think they were a bit expensive. the coffee was served only after the second request and was warm. I liked the atmosphere and can go back, but would think twice
Always a warm welcome from jack, mary, chris, ryan, terry and the crew. great service, excellent weine, had some crisp eating aswell. recommend a visit especially when the sun goes out.
A nice pub nested a quiet backwater. very traditional feeling and an open fire, always welcome in winter. we went as a family and although no child menu they managed to enter our youngest. we do as appetizers, but the only reason to not give 5 stars was the limited choice. Traditional pub menu starters would be this place perhaps a little more turnover in the up. the pub is dog friendly so that we our young cocksuckers and the employees were beautiful and informative. our main choices were delicious, although for £10 for färger and maische, a few nice would have made a nice accompaniment. great round and looking forward to a new visit.
3 real ales, food excellent and plenty of it. Accommodation available. Great stop off after walking the hills
