OMG, the food is super delicious here. I highly recommend everyone who is originally from Shanxi Province to try their food.
Authentic ShanXi 山西 cuisine, with noodle as their specialty. Amazing noodle texture only you could find in China. Lamb tripes are delicious. Also, cold dishes/appetizers are self serve, you can pick what you want, grab a plate and load it up!
Pretty authentic noodle place, good portion for their prices. Came here for the lamb organ soup recommended by friend, pretty good broth chewy noodle, but really missing out the organ part, only lamb meat tripes, no liver, heart, kidney...etc. like I had in Beijing. Rougamo pork, cold jelly sautéed intestine all gets thumbs up. After ordering, mostly self-serve like water packing for to-go. Which is fine, considering how expensive server wages are today... it 's reflected on their modest pricing. I will be back.
I ll give them a 6 stars if there is one! Shanxi is a historical province that has over 300 kinds of noodles. So happy that I can find them in LA
