Doug's Deli Downtown - Rome

Lee or leigh sorry I didnt get the spelling of her name) was the sweetest doll I've meet. She told me some great recommendations as it was my first visit. I tried the Notorious P.I.G. with cheese grits. They make their own pickles and they are amazing! The sandwich was amazing. I'll definitely be going back.

Love this place. We were made to feel so welcome. Everyone loved the fact we were Scottish. Doug is a sweet heart. He welcomed us with complimentary Cheese Grits and great conversation. We saw him treating the families kids with free cookies too. A real family atmosphere with great home Meade healthy or hearty food. I love the open kitchen because you can see the food handling, cleanliness and practices all of which looked great. It’s an American trait to have a lot of disposable cutlery, styrofoam and plastics, so I hope Doug’s can lead the way in this next step to reducing this waste. We definitely recommend it and will visit again. Kid-friendliness: Lovely family atmosphere and sweet treats for the kids after a healthy lunch.
