It was time for some well deserved breakfast, and my yelp app suggested this as one of the few places. The Black Bean Cafe is a cozy neighborhood spot, that was pretty packed that morning. I had the huevos ranchero with beef patties and they were perfect after a long trip, and fuel for a long day of races and the journey back home. The service was friendly, and I love ending up in places like this when live takes you places and yelp helps you to find where to eat.
Great place to warm up and made breakfast On a cold day. Service was quick with no wait. Small menu but made it easy to pick what I was going to get.
As a regular, we love the food and the wait staff are terrific. Sadly there is now an offensive art display mounted on the wall, by an artist who clearly doesn't respect our country. I was offended and really don't want to do politics with my breakfast.
I love anywhere that will serve me breakfast in the afternoon, but this place is exceptional. The cinnamon swirl french toast was thick and fresh and I left with a chocolate chip cookie that was cooked to perfection (crisp on the edges but soft in the middle. . . nom, nom, nom . . . . I was there by myself, and so were a few other diners, but everyone was talking to each other and laughing. It was a nice change from LA. I'll eat there often.
This was a very unique dining experience! We were in the area to check out a local Cider Brewer. Had some time to kill so thought food was a good idea. We walked in to a lot of locals enjoying live music. There was a bit of a wait but worth it. Everything that was made was from scratch we were told and I personally was not disappointed. I enjoyed a delicious stack of blueberry pancakes and a side of perfectly cooked bacon.
