Brett's Family Bbq - Rockdale

Brett’s has the best brisket I’ve ever eaten. The staff are friendly and the shade trees are a plus!

Everything we tried was tasty. Brisket was very tender with a nice smoke flavor. They were out of some of the sides we wanted to try, but the mac and cheese was scrum. They were also out of iced tea which for noon on a Saturday in Texas is probably a crime of some type. Nice outdoor eating area and friendly folks. Kinda pricey and not destination level BBQ, but still very good.

Moist beef barbecue brisket is where it’s at! You certainly pay for what you get; $22\pound. It’s worth getting, but it cost so much it’s luxury and extravagance you can only afford once in a while. Say, every other blue Moon on Saint Swivven‘s day.

Very good food, and of you are like me and have never had smoked cabbage do yourself a favor and get some for Brett's it's delicious!!

Well worth the drive, got the sampler because I was torn on which meat I wanted. Brett has got it down to an art, not to mention he is a stand up guy. As we stuffed our face we noticed a couple in the parking lot changing a flat tire on their vehicle and Brett walked over to lend them a hand along with a cold drink to fight off this crazy Texas heat. We will definitely be back.
