Gedneys Grill - Roanoke

This was my first visit. I was a little confused at first. Then we seen the crowd standing in line. It was a buffet. 1 meat and unlimited sides including salad and dessert. It was delicious. The staff were constantly having to refill food. If something wasn't on the buffet they let you know how much time it would be. They were truly amazing.

Excellent country style home cooked food (buffet)! I'd driven by this place numerous times and never stopped. I'm SO glad I stopped this time, and this WILL become THE place I stop when I'm in that area again. Don't miss trying this place! It'll be worth your time!

I will give this place another shot on any other day than Sunday. They offer a meat but you are limited on how much unless you pay extra. The grills are shutdown on Sundays so if you special order it gets placed on the griddle instead. The rest of the bar was decent and the banana pudding was awesome.

Spent a week in Florida and experienced our best meal in Roanoke AL! Saw alot of cars in the lot and stopped for lunch. I had country fried steak, okra, sweet potato, Mac n cheese, my wife had catfish n a little of everything else. Everything was great! Cornbread and peach cobbler was good as grandma used to make. This is a must stop for lunch if you are close. Better than Irondale cafe or Niki's West and that's saying alot.

My family and I enjoy Gedneys. Great food, great atmosphere and friendly staff. The catfish is amazing and for the kids meal is the same catfish that is amazing as well. The expectation far exceeds what we could have thought of. May the Lord Jesus continue to bless you all!!
