Shah's Halal Food - Riverhead

We love halal food and this place the food was VERY good. But for $9 +tax which is almost 10 bucks for chicken over rice it's pricey. Plus the portions were on the small side. We left still hungry. If this establishment was just a little more generous w food portion, we'd be there every week. (And I'm not one of those fat Americans that like huge portions) We'll come back but just not often. And I guess others feel the same bc we went during peak lunch time and it was not busy at all. Us and one other family.

Best fast food around, plate of lamb rice and salad for $9. Cannot be beat in Riverhead.

The service at this restaurant was very poor. I ordered lentil soup, but it was greasy and when I asked for something else, my request was denied. It is disappointing that the staff wear shirts claiming they stand for quality, when in reality they do not. I will never visit this place again. In the end, they reluctantly offered me something of comparable price, but the quality was low and I only accepted it because I did not want to waste my money. This incident occurred at the store located in Riverhead building 1767. The staff were rude, disrespectful, and seemed to show prejudice. I observed that people of a certain culture were served healthy plates, while me and my family were not so fortunate. I rated this place one star, but honestly, I wish I could give it zero stars. Enough said.

I will never purchase food from Shah Halal again. They are selling leftovers from the previous night's shift and don't seem to care if customers get sick. The owners are unresponsive and negligent, and there is no manager available to address complaints. I do not recommend eating at this restaurant.

The petite woman who works at this restaurant is consistently impolite and unpleasant. I dread encountering her when I walk in, as she is also very sparing with the white sauce.
