It was training day.... When my parents and I saw this place, Dad said I think that was the old Perkins. I thought okay, sounds good. Perkins had clean restaurants and beautiful decor. It took forever. When we came in and sat down there, the waitress told us that she was training....not a big thing they were all training. It was the 2nd day of all new people and it took more than an hour to get our food. There was a small sign on the window over training, but it was in small pressure and no one told us until after we got our water. Urggg! It was terrible. In the end, after my daughter (3 years old had waited for a tantrum, the manager paid for our food. The waitress was really good, so my father gave her a tip because it wasn't her fault. Two other tables got their food before us and we were there first. We ordered sand, so it shouldn't take very long. Bummer time, hopefully it's better. The food was really delicious! Everything was clean, even the bathrooms! They did their best and they even turned around 2 people to continue their training. I'd go now, it was a month since that happened. Either they do better, or they're closed. Try it.
I love eating at Zips. My first visit was back in 2020 and the thin old cook, who woke up hell with the poor cashiers, could not help them to be short employees. This past June stopped again and I was glad not to see how the chef wakes up. The food was great and the checkout was nice. I look forward to visiting Spokane during my next trip.
It was very busy, but waiting for me was not bad. We had the cod. The fish itself was delish, the coating, not so much, it fell off and was crispy. They must have changed their coating because it was not.
Worst restaurant I ever worked for. Do not eat here unless u want food poisoning or bad service. And a really bad owner trying to scare his employees with his past. most dreadful job.
