Star Cafe - Ringkoebing-Skjern

Small restaurant, the two of us wanted to spontaneously have dinner there, but were turned away at 5:30 p.m. because tables were only available if we booked in advance... the 6 tables were all free. So we made a reservation for another evening. We arrived 15 minutes later on the day of our reservation and were greeted unfriendly by the landlady... They had ordered at 6:30 p.m., so we got into trouble with the other guests... Ours occupied 4 of the 6 tables. We had to wait some time to place our order, so the time pressure was probably not that great with the guests still expected. Then everything went well. The fish (salmon and plaice) was very good. The price was okay for Denmark and current conditions. No other guests came until we said goodbye. But overall we didn't feel comfortable because we didn't really feel welcome.

Expected a normal tourist trap ripoff, as all the other restaurants in the area, but this was very different. Great food and great service and we really enjoyed ourself. Our best recommendations!

Small but excellent restaurant !! it doesnt have a huge menu, but whatever you choose is really very good. I especially like the scampi-cocktail as starter. delicous and nicely decorated. The Wiener Schnitzel is also recommended !

We went here due to the good reviews and were not disappointed. The menu is small but well varied, which always speaks for a place in my experience. The fish we had was some of the best we had here in Denmark. The owner was very friendly and the food arrived promptly and was very fresh... another highlight was sth as simple as the salads... perfect homemade dressing and made with so much love. The owner took care of the food of our little daughter first so the stay was very relaxed. Definite recommendation!
