The restaurant has a large space and the staff were all very friendly. Although some dishes took a while to come out, they were worth the wait! The dry noodles with pork and prawn dumplings were exceptional - the dumpling wrapper was soft and delicious. The pork belly clay pot was also delicious, especially the flavorful sauce that I made sure to scrape out to enjoy with leftover rice.
I have been a loyal customer of this restaurant for 20 years, but had not visited in a while. To my surprise, Tho Tho has undergone a major revamp with new decor and a new menu. I was intrigued by the concept of Asian Fusion cuisine, as it was different from the extensive menu I was accustomed to. Some of my favorite dishes were no longer on the menu, but I was relieved to find that my beloved prawn spring rolls and satay pork were still available. I inquired about the Satay Squid, which had disappeared from the menu, and was pleased to hear that they could still prepare it for me. The meals arrived promptly and were just as delicious as I remembered. While I am still adjusting to the new menu, I will definitely be returning. Additionally, I learned that they will be opening a location in Docklands as well.
My sister, brother in law and I loved our visit to Tho Tho. We ordered the Beef San Choi Bao, Pork with Spicy Sauce Coconut Milk, Vegetable Fried Rice and Singapore Noodles with Chicken to share. All of the meals were nice but the Beef San Choi Bao and Pork with Spicy Sauce Coconut Milk were the stand out loved the rich flavours of these dishes. Great value for money, staff were nice and the meals came out quickly. I would return again to try other dishes from the menu.
Had a pleasant dinner at Tho Tho Bar Asian Restaurant.<br/ <br/ I had the ‘Baylee’s special – Stir fry rice noodles with ‘Shaken’ Beef Crispy Chicken in an Egg sauce’ which was very good. The quality meats were cooked perfectly but I found the sauce was gluggy and nondescript. I don’t know how egg sauce is supposed to taste so probably poor ordering on my behalf. Definitely value for money though. No dessert required.<br/ <br/ My friend played made an orthodox selection of ‘Egg noodles with chicken and vegetables’ which was more enjoyable – beautifully cooked with balanced flavours. <br/ <br/ Premise has a cool open vibe to it. And the pictures of Hugh Jackman and Arnold Schwarzenegger as previous diners add a certain cache.<br/ <br/ All in all – a very reliable option on Victoria Street.<br/ <br/ If Tho tho’s good enough for Wolverine and The Terminator, it’s good enough for me…
