Previously they owned a coffee shop in Bellerive, then Retro Fudge in Murray St. Matt is the rep for Botero coffee makes an excellent Latte certainly the best in Richmond. Nowhere else could even come close. The fudge, chocolate treats icecream are all wonderful. They open long hours too are very dedicated to offering the best quality customer service treats.
I 've been to the Richmond Chocolate shop on several occasions, as I live locally within 10 kms. I love this shop and all out of town visitors we have invariably get to visit there with us. There 's always a great selection of delicious ice cream, too many favourites to mention. The locally handmade chocolates are delicious and the house made fudge and nougat is a 'must try '. You won 't be disappointed. But the real draw card is the owners. They are so friendly and just lovely. Nothing is too much trouble. One of my grandkids has a dairy allergy and I can get sorbet for him knowing that there has been no cross-contamination from the ice-cream because they are very particular with their food safety practices. When you do visit, try a chilli hot chocolate. Heavenly!!
Needed a great coffee so checked all along the main drag of Richmond came back here for the Botero blend. We made the right decision coffee was smooth rich delicious, the chocolates were a bonus particularly the home made rocky road !
We came to Tasmania on our honeymoon and couldn’t resist another visit to Richmond. We were served by the new owner who was lovely. She was very generous and the ice cream was delicious.
As a mum who has a child with a dairy allergy, I cannot rate the Richmond Chocolate Shop high enough. Not only do they clearly have their dairy free ice creams and products labelled, but they are particular with cross contamination as well, and so kind when questioned about it. I’m truly impressed with the customer service we have received on numerous visits. Then we have the actual products themselves which are delicious. I don’t usually eat fudge or nougat as I find it grainy or gritty when eating, but the Richmond Chocolate Shop fudge is to die for. And the variety of flavours is brilliant. If you’re in Richmond, don’t skip on visiting this little but amazing chocolate shop as you will truly miss out.
