I tried the avo toast 4 times, and it was always a totally different dish and every time pretty bad, especially for the price. BUT the coffee is decent and they know everything about plants. I go here for advice and am never disappointed. The plants are top knotch!
I live down the street and come here often. It's the closest cafe. The coffee is fine, but the food is expensive and really unimpressive. come here for the plants and maybe the coffee, just skip the food. The expertise of the the staff can not be beat, but if they are busy, you won't be able to catch one of them.
I'm a fan of Vasilli and enjoy the show for many years and been wanting to go there for a meal for a long time after experiencing wonderful Greek hospitality form distant family members for many years. My elderly mother had an appointment next door last Tuesday the 16th of March 2020 and thought I'd take her to lunch there as she is a fan also) . Not a very good decision. The sign at the front advertised that the cafe is open from Monday to Sunday. Which lead me to interpret that there would be a full menu available. maybe I was wrong to assume so) But when we entered the cafe area there was a notification that there was a limited menu.Although, I couldn't fault the service of the young lady. It was excellent and did her utmost to satisfy me after sensing my dissatisfaction and disappointment in our whole dining experience. The food was below average and obviously I was left disappointed. The so called Greek salad had lettuce and there was one bit of sliced capsicums , little fetta olives, rubbery cucumber, but loads of lettuce. In my opinion the salad wasn't fresh. The meat pitta was ok, but nothing to write home about. The whole meal costed $31.00, which was in my opinion extreme and not value for money Maybe my expectations were too high. I would and wanted to like and recommend the place, but I can't. Kath Pull your socks up
Vasili has his own TV show about gardening, so it is interesting to see his own nursury and garden. Vasili now has a cafe out front. We had a special New York cheese cake with coffee for $6, plus a pot of ginger and lemongrass tea. Despite the wintery weather, it was warm inside. The meals are good, around average price for the area. The cafe also has a beer garden, and a wine bar.. The cafe was a lot busier than when we last visited, Vasili must be doing something right. Vasili's Garden is in Coburg, Melbourne's innr north.
We had a wonderful lunch at this lovely restaurant last Sunday with our family. The service was excellent, with very friendly staff. The food was absolutely delicious! After our meal, we took a stroll through the garden center, which was a beautiful nursery. The relaxed atmosphere and helpful staff made it a great experience. We will definitely be returning!
