While I didn’t want to argue over the $0.12, I found the whole experience frustrating and chaotic. To make matters worse, my $18 order transformed into a $62 bill! It was clear they were unprepared for a five-hour event, and the staff needed better training. On a positive note, the spring rolls were good, but I was disappointed I couldn’t try more. Update: I received a response from the owner, which you can see in the attached picture. I’m not sure what I was expecting from their response, but it missed the mark. My reply to the owner is as follows: first, their math regarding tax is incorrect. Second, their response came across as extremely unprofessional. Lastly, they are mistaken; the sales tax in Washoe County is 8.265%, so for a $14 meal, the tax amounts to $1.1571, making the total $15.15. Regardless of their disagreement with me, there are more professional ways to address customer concerns. I regret that they experienced difficulties during the event, but I paid for my meal and tipped for service that I didn’t receive. My one-star rating feels even more justified now than it did six hours ago when I originally submitted it on Google. I hope they use my tax calculation to improve their business practices moving forward.
I tried some rolls at a Reno outdoor market, and they were definitely worth the wait. The sauce on top complemented them perfectly!
I spotted this food truck at an RED event and absolutely loved it! I tried the bark rice served in a pineapple, and we finished every bite—so delicious! Ordering through the app was a breeze, and the staff were super friendly. I’ll definitely be coming back! Much love from the girl with the pink hair.
We tried this food truck for the first time at the Christmas tree lighting at living stones and eating was great! the guy who helped us was very helpful and friendly. in any case try if they have the chance
I was really excited to try this food truck. The food menu looked really good but limited. I honestly don't mind that though, because it makes me feel like they aren't over reaching and what they make will be good. From the menu pictures I wanted to try the chilli lime shrimp and the pork lumpia. Unfortunately what I got was barely seasoned shrimp, a far reach from the seasoned carmally goodness the menu portrayed. It tasted like they took the cooked shrimp and washed it in water and put it on my plate. The rice was really glaggy and the noodles that came with it had no seasoning. The pork lumpia was burned. I thought it looked a little over cooked but it was stacked in a way that hid the worst of it. It was also served with a side of pickled vegetables. I was expecting an Asian flavored pickle but it tasted like Italian giardiniera. They might have been having an off time. They were not serving the kabobs so maybe something in the truck was broken. I can't even say that they were busy because I was the only one there when I ordered. I might try them again but I would have to look at the food they are serving before I do.
