Saint James Infirmary - Reno

I had a wonderful time here! If you don't believe me, I have pictures to prove it.

This is a unique spot with a fantastic vibe right on the strip. The bartender crafted an incredible Old Fashioned—I ended up having two! It felt more like a local hangout than a touristy place, and I will definitely return when I'm back in Reno.

I visited on Halloween, and the atmosphere was fantastic with everyone in costume. The DJ was excellent, and the bar service was quick, making it a really enjoyable experience. It was a lively crowd of mostly people in their early to mid-20s, perfect for people-watching as everyone danced in their costumes.

They offer their own beer from the brasserie st. james. they have a good choice on tap next to their local beer. the jukebox is such a choice. great eclectic music. it can be full and loud. best if it has a small amount. I love red lighting. they have terrible sanitation, so they have a good idea of the baths. I give it 4 starts because it has tormented that it sway in, but it is one of my favorite bars in the city when it has the right amount.

My visit to St. James Infirmary took place on a Saturday around 6pm. I was meeting a friend for drinks. Parking: I parked right in front of the bar on California. There's lots of available street parking. . The Experience: The bartender was a young man who promptly greeting me upon entering. He especially made himself helpful when I inquired about their available bar selection. The atmosphere was very low key. There were only two other guests when I arrived. To drink I had a Grapefruit Greyhound. (A great summer time drink FYI). They don't have a fruit press so sadly you won't be able to experience the fresh tartness of the grapefruit. Which is why thought my drink was just okay. The interior is painted black from the walls to the bar. Not quite the most comfortable setting for day drinking. I bet at night it looks cool however when the sun is still out it made me feel like I was in a club. I'd return.
