Reno is an amazing town! Change of fortune happened for our family last night......Just as we were about to go to dinner we got an email that The Sound of Music was canceled because their bus broke down in the Sierras. We debated on keeping our reservation but decided to keep it and make the best of our evening. As we walked in I mentioned the sad news to the hostess and she told us I just heard as well and am going to make an announcement to my guests soon but want them to enjoy their meal a little longer. About half way though our delicious meal the new owner of La Famiglia, Nicki came to our table and said that she spoke with some of her best customers and was able to get our family for my birthday tickets to tomorrow night’s show! She told us to come pick up the tickets tomorrow! Our kind server was then chatting with us later and told us that it had brought tears to him and Nicki when they heard the news. What a special place we live! Our little family of four had an amazing dinner. The mushroom truffle pasta was splendid and the desserts which are often an afterthought at most restaurants were amazing! For reference we shared the Limoncello cheesecake and the chocolate mousse cake. Our evening of disappointment turned into a fabulous dinner with kindness and and a feeling of goodwill! We highly recommend La Famiglia! Thank you!

2nd time a charm. Our first visit proved to be a wonderful happenstance. After watching Chicago with the folks on Saturday, we again went to this Italian restaurant. We all loved the food. Sarina 's salmon was 'the best ' she ever had, tender, flavorful, and oh so moist. Oh, then came the chocolate, caramel cheesecake. This is now our favorite Italian spot.
