We went to the breakfast at the new south reno Huckleberry’s. it was our first time at every huckleberry and we were very impressed. we were greeted with friendly smiles and immediately sat. our server, emery, was fantastic and she has helped definitiw to make our experience fantastic. she had great personality, friendly prompt service, and she gave us excellent recommendations to drink and food selection. we enjoyed the beignets, the huckleberry mimosas and our breakfast options. we had a breakfast coming together and stayed at the table for over 1 1/2 hours and yet we never felt rushed to go. emery is a reason that we definitely back to Huckleberry’s! well made emery and well made whole staff. thanks for the fantastic start to the day!
The atmosphere at the restaurant was lackluster with a rating of 2 out of 5. The service was decent at 3 out of 5, but they could improve by allowing someone to handle coffee refills during breakfast and lunch service. The server was polite and friendly. The food was disappointing with a rating of 2 out of 5. The Cajun with a California twist menu was underwhelming, resembling more of a basic hometown diner style. The plating lacked creativity, and my order of filled French toast was good but the toast itself was subpar. The rushed service resulted in poorly cooked side dishes. The prices were affordable at 4 out of 5, with a total bill of $150 for a party of seven. Overall, the dining experience was a 3 out of 5. The restaurant is new in Reno and still working out some kinks. It is worth another visit to see if improvements have been made. Reservations are not accepted, but they do allow for table set up one hour in advance for larger parties.
The food was absolutely delicious! Our server, Jackie, provided excellent service.
