Przekaż informację zwrotnąBeaujolais has set a new bar for me in regards to dining and service that every restaurant I attend will be compared to in the future. Located on Riverside drive, the area is alive and quaint. There's a lovely view of the river, and the people walking by makes the area feel very alive. We dined outside, but the inside of Beaujolais was beautiful and home-y. The menu was diverse and was delicious. For an appetizer my partner and I shared the duck and mushroom cigars which were moist, crunchy, and served over a bed of one of the most delicious sauces I've ever had. For entrees we opted for steak fritz and rack of lamb. The fry sauce was shockingly good, and the lamb was one of the most tender pieces of meat I've eaten. We finished with creme brulee and a surprise from the serving staff, as I had noted it was my partner and I's anniversary, to which they helped us celebrate with a candle on the creme brulee and celebrations from the staff. Our server Lee was truly the best I've ever experienced in a restaurant, keeping a watchful eye over our experience and carrying himself with an air of professionalism and pride I've never had anywhere else. This was a special experience for me, I left happy and most importantly my partner left happy. Special thanks to the staff, this will be my go-to for any occasion of meaning in the future.
The food, atmosphere, and service at this restaurant were all excellent.
My scallops were cooked to perfection! And I just loved their mock cocktails! I had a virgin gimlet, it was to die for. Don't be in a rush when you go there, take your time and enjoy!
We had a reservation for 2 and were seated promptly. The restaurant was not busy as maybe half of the tables were filled, but drinks still took over 10 minutes and water took a while. Cocktails were great. Really nice balance. They kept bread coming out consistently. The food was fine. The escargot was extraordinarily oily, but had nice flavor. The beet salad was 10/10. Would highly recommend. The waiter never asked for a temp on the lamb and brought it out seared, but basically raw. The USDA suggests temp at 145° but the waiter told me that youd be surpri by how rare you can cook it. We sent it back to be brought up to medium. See the second picture for how they returned the dish. It was still quite rare/medium rare, but the kitchen just covered it with sauce to hide the color. The flavor was lackluster, saltless, and the meat was chewy. The issue here though was the service. The server NEVER inquiried about the meal ever. Nothing. When a guest sends an order back and doesn 't finish the plate, you probably should ask. That 's a $60 entree and it felt like we were gauged for a lackluster experience. Please train your staff better. I 'd try somewhere else if you have expectations for good service.
As always, our dining experience was excellent. The food, the wine, the service, and the ambiance are all top notch. Sure, prices have gone up, as they have anywhere that serves quality cuisine, but it's worth it every time at Beaujolais. We particularly like the Liberty Duck dishes, the fish (any of them) and the steak, and the four desserts we ordered were all better than the last. And Rosalyn, our server, was the best we've had at Beaujolais and the best we've had in a long time at any restaurant. She is super friendly and knowledgeable and shows the perfect level of attention. She never bothered us but also never left us looking for her. I'm sure she had other tables, but it felt like we were her only table and she was watching us all along to make sure we never wanted for anything.
