This was a Friday evening so they were busy. We were seated right away and we proceeded to get acquainted with the menu. The waiter came back after 10 mins to take our order. The appetizers did not come until 25 mins after the order was placed. Only after asking the waiter where things were at did he offer any feedback. The appetizers were good – dumplings and chicken skewers and we enjoyed them. The most disappointing part of the dinning experience was the service. Bottom line it was horrible. The mains took over an hour. Though it was busy, people that were seated after us, were in and had their food in fairly quick order. We were left to wait. I brought this to the attention of our waiter, he just shrugged and said they were busy – oh well. He even said that my daughters dish was in the window and they were just waiting on my wife’s and my dish. Our food arrived 15 mins later. You could tell that this had been sitting around. Upon leaving we took our complaint to the front of house and his response was the same, they were busy. No apologies or restitution. Our advice, don’t waste your time or your money.
Beautiful restaurant, and a very warm welcome with a very friendly staff. I was driving down the coast, and stopped in for Sushi, and sat at the Sushi bar. The bar was beautiful and the fish was first class and everything was very fresh. I ordered a tuna roll and a rainbow roll. The rainbow roll was beautiful with nice portions of fish on top. Unfortunately, after the roll was made, the chef put some kind of cheap mayonaise or salad cream on, squirting it all over the top. It was disgusting. I tried to scrape it off, and tasted one piece, and all you could taste was the stale salad cream. There was no mention on the menu that the roll would be made with salad cream on it. I had to leave all that good fish behind, and I left hungry. Very disappointing experience, and a waste of really good sushi. I am no expert on the way of doing it, but all the other spices and sauces (which I like) are served on the side. If he must give you cheap salad dressing, why can’t they put it on the side, instead of ruining the good fish. Oh well, a waste of time and . Chalk it up to experience. If you go there, I suggest you inquire about the cheap mayonaise, and insist that they serve it on the side. I tipped 20% because the service was otherwise good, and it wasn’t the staff’s fault. CJ
Went there last night to meet friends for dinner. the bartender, Rebecca was very nice, greeted us and placed our drink orders right away so we could get Happy Hour pricing-thanks, Rebecca! Dinner was excellent-I ordered the miso soup, which was very tasty; then we ordered various rolls and sashimi. All of it was fresh and full of flavor. We will be back—especially since Rebecca showed us the Happy Hour menu, which is quite a savings off of the regular price, and a good selection, too. Thanks Saketumi for an enjoyable evening, new customers from Lewes
