Trattoria Al Forno - REFRONTOLO

What a culinary surprise this unpretentious little trattoria has to offer. Right at the village square you enter into a cozy dining room with fire place connected to a beautifully secluded and covered outdoor court yard. As no written menu is available the fresh dishes come straight form the Chefs choices of the day. With a little language improvisation from the Patron and foreign guests you manage well to select your favourite food. Dishes come hot and are presented simple and straight forward. But the best is the taste and the choice of ingredients. The Ravioli with nettle, of Gnocchi with wild spinach where excellent, guinea foul, on polenta and caponata so tasty with a savoury dark reduction. We drank a refreshing prosecco from the Refrontolo neighbourhood Toffoli .

The atmosphere is really warm, remembering an old house with the fireplace in the middle and a nice garden. The food is awesome, simple but full of taste. The service is welcoming and always smiling and ready to explain and to satisfy the client requests. The price is a little bit higher than the standard, but the quality and the experience is great. Fully recommended!

Ringing ahead to check if the trattoria was open or if a table is available is recommend as they were full out of season, we managed to make a booking only thanks to the limited English by the host and on arrival this carried on with the use of books, pictures and anything else we could think of to explain the menu, big thanks. Note: there is no paper menu, the owner explains the choices for the evening so we were a little nervous because of the language barrier. When the food came our anxiety disappeared in a flash, not knowing 100% what we ordered! but quality food from a 160 year old establishment, it all makes sense! Beautiful, fresh and delicious and all presented very well. You may think A limited selection for a menu not that they use them but something for everyone and obviously all done so well. The couple are so welcoming with great hospitality, a truly traditional and lovely establishment.

Siamo stati per godere di un buono regalo e devo dire che ne valeva davvero la pena rivelare una piacevole scoperta. il posto è molto bello, soprattutto vicino al camino. piatti tipici deliziosi e ben curati, personale cordiale e riservato, per tornare assolutamente.

Ho pranzato in questo caratteristico luogo molto accogliente, al centro di refrontolo, con un buon primo piatto di ravioli ripieni di germogli di rapa e condito con mandorle e capra organica, per seguire coniglio con polenta e carciofi anche questo molto buono e accompagnato da un bicchiere di vino. Sono stato bene grazie anche al servizio pronto e cortese di una ragazza gentile, lo consiglio vivamente e tornerò quando mi trovo qui. prezzi online considerando piatti e qualità. Forse solo il prezzo dell'acqua (un bicchiere) era un po' costoso, ma voglio credere che sia stato un errore sia del gestore che del mio per non averlo notato.
