Fat Dumpling - REDBANK

Megan and I headed to Victoria Park to see if we could hit a few balls at the driving range. She performed wonderfully, while I was just... present. Naturally, we decided to grab some dumplings afterward to chat about our newly acquired skills! We visited the newer location of Fat Dumpling, which is part of the collection of restaurants that recently opened on King Street in Bowen Hills.

We celebrated my daughter’s 15th birthday at this restaurant, and it was absolutely perfect. When we mentioned it was a birthday celebration, the staff—who we had never met before—surprised us by providing beautiful balloon displays at their own expense and made sure to accommodate all our needs, including keeping our ice cream cake frozen. They are a genuinely kind and wonderful group of people, which is reflected in the fantastic food. We love dumplings, and this place is quickly becoming our favorite. As a vegetarian, I appreciate the delicious options available, especially the shallot pancakes. The service has consistently been prompt and friendly. Thank you!

Dumplings are my favorite; I can eat quite a few! The juicy pan-fried dumplings pair perfectly with my drink of choice, and they really spark interesting conversations when shared among friends. Enjoying dumplings and drinks in a tapas-style setting was a fantastic way to spend a weekend afternoon.

Great place for a casual dumpling feast. TReally tasty food and reasonable prices. The skewers are full of flavour. Recommended it to all my mates.

Delicious dumplings, best we've had in Brisbane. We find Chinese dumplings can get a bit oily, but the ones here were fresh and very tasty without being overly oily. Definitely will go back for more!
