I could add is awfully overpriced for food that was not even fresh and was precooked and swimming in the oil all morning (Note in Dublin Airport (the King of Reheat Food) was €3 cheaper. Very disappointed by the reheated foods and the recharged breakfast that does not even contain a cup of tea!!!! I've eaten in the restaurant before and the food was nice, but this will be my first and last breakfast in this facility!
Very decent. 6:45 a.m. on a Friday night the parking lot is full and all seats are taken, but the Poitín style is the small cubicle it is, we find a room in the corner. The menu is wide and varied and they are happy to make changes if necessary, which always tells me that the dishes are freshly prepared. I had both the fish and the chips and the ribs here and both are very good. I don't think the deserts are made on site, so the main star is the hearty food. The coffee after dinner was smooth and delicious. Come 9 a.m., the amount has slightly diluted, but again, due to the cubby-hole nature of this pub, it never feels empty, as much as it never feels crowded.
Pub on the outskirts of Rathcoole, actually a great stop before you take a road to the west or to the south. This pub deceives, from the outside you think small and cozy, but this place sprinkles out and has many seating, even has a beautiful conversational area that is cozy with heating to make sure you stay cozy no matter how it is outside. The staff is friendly and the table service is great here, always many lounge staff and beats Queuing at the bar. I'm not local, so it's a difficult to get, unless you live locally or as I said, just have a quick bite to eat/half glass before you go further out of Dublin.
This review is for the Carvery and the guy who serves us!!! Usually I don't like Carverys, but that was delicious a guy who served a lot of entertainment, and he didn't jump on the portions... stacked a lot on the plate! only a little gravy though : .... beautiful and spacious inside ............. quantity that comes here is a little iffy but id come back for the food. not so much for just drinking ..
As this restaurant is in my area I go here a lot. An Poitín Stil is made up of a carvery/pub, and a restaurant, the latter I prefer. The last time I went here I was in the pub area for an hour, the bar food was average, nothing special, however, there was around 20 or so people walking around with loaded plates in such a compact space. The restaurant however, was a much better experience. Although I found that the restaurant was not wheelchair friendly, as there were no ramps, only stairs to the 3 sections. I started of with their chicken wings, witch were very big, (for chicken wings) they were alright. For the main course I opted for the 'famous ' steak on the stone, which I have seen before in other restaurants. It came with chips, side salad, pepper sauce and garlic butter. That was very good, even though it took a bit of work to properly cook yourself. By the end of that I was full, but is still ordered a chocolate cake for dessert. I was generally impressed by the cake. Overall, An Potín Stil is great for a Sunday dinner or to watch the match, great atmosphere.
