I honestly do not understand how a venue like this remains profitable - it must run solely on the pokies :( The menu is uninspired (such a shame because we all love good modern pub food) and the food disgusting. Every meal tastes the same - greasy, salty, stodgy. I thought a schnitzel would be a sure thing (rather than trusting the kitchen that produced such an weary menu with something like a nice salad) but it was so gross. Dry and it just tasted revolting, maybe the meat was bad. I stopped eating after two mouthfuls. My friend kindly offered to share his salad with me but it was just as offensive. Don't bother with this place, just go to the Cookhouse down the road. It's not perfect but it is enjoyable.
I have not been here for years, so why not today! Some great ($ 10) cocktails at a school night and a medium rare steak with mash and salad. Not a pity - pretty good! Lack of air conditioning, however, made it a bit uncomfortable.
Over-controlled drinks and bad wine list. It is cheap that it is cheap to charge you $ 10 per glass for! Sterile environment with bright and glaring lights that makes it impossible to relax. Food is decent, but overpriced, what it is. Would not go back. Thanks to the cook ????
They have a great 10-20 dollar menu with many different and vegetarian options. I had the vegetable focaccia from the $ 10 menu, it was a generous size and tasted great. Really good for only 10 dollars. I will definitely come back to try more on the menu.
It is recommended to sit in the food to sit a drink that offers a beautiful decor and some comfortable lounges that are great to reset and have one or two glass wine. The cocktails are only 12 US dollars, which is a great value, but they were underwater - I would recommend to stick to beer and wine in this hotel. We were as a group for dinner on Monday evening there, and the menu had a large selection of pub classics, pizzas, salads and other networks. Monday evening is Schnitzel House Night and for $ 17 you can get schnitzel chips and salad with all toppings. I went for the Italiano with the chicken schnitzel with eggplants, cheese and tomatoes, and it was delicious. Others in the group had steak, shrimp, caesar salad and smoked chicken pizza. Everyone enjoyed their meals that came quickly from the kitchen and all received at the same time. Would most likely recommend as a pub feed.
