Unfortunately, some of the other reviews were on the point! This place is very overpriced. I got the 6 ounces of steak and it wasn't bad, but it wasn't worth $40. One way...
I wasn't with Ruth Chris since I moved from Charlotte to Raleigh, so I invited some of my staff for a quick lunch. We arrived at 1:15 and were...
Service here is phenomenal because they treat you with so much respect. The filet is juicy, tender, and is probably the best steak in the country. The creamed spinach and Caesar salad are delicious as well. First class restaurant and has New Orleans roots with the founder!
Ashley deserves 5 stars. She was attentive and knowledgeable about the food and drinks. I met the manager who is a true asset to the restaurant. Food was mediocre and not worth my 70 mile drive. (Although the salad and avocado dressing was good, overall my entire meal was not up to par and only worth 3 stars in my book. The bread wasn’t hot nor presentable. It was sparsely placed in the basket. I complained and they brought a different basket of bread (see pic). The bread was not worth me cheating on my gluten free diet. The salmon was cooked well and it was just ok. The crab cake was average. The creamed spinach was watery and not creamy. The lobster on the lobster Mac was severely over cooked (see pic) and not worth $35.00. I ate the food because I was famished. The valet gentleman was lovely, I tipped him well even though I parked on the street and didn’t need to valet. I will not return. I was totally unaware that Charlotte has “The Palm”, which I prefer. I had many dinners at the original “Palm” in NYC on 2nd Avenue. The restaurant closed last year, although two locations remain open in NYC. They consistently delivered amazing meals. Ruth Chris is franchised and inconsistent.
