Remembered us kindly that the kitchen would be closed in advance, so we have plenty of time to order and eat as we came in a few hours before closing. Delicious food with many options on the menu, everyone would be able to find something they enjoy.
Food was good, nothing really that was among all the other Sushi options in Raleigh. Our sushi sat in the window for over 10 minutes before or waitress even noticed that it was ready to talk too busy with other waiters and on the cell phone was just 2 other tables waiting. She was nice first, then we gave her a tip at the end and she immediately rolled her eyes, held it to the light as if they were fake invoices or something and turned rightly from screaming in another language! We try to tap a good amount, but she was just so greedy and unappreciative, I feel like she got what she worked for????
The first time to order here, and I and my husband were really disappointed. We ordered Hibachi Steak and Chicken with roasted rice, an alder and vegetable roll. The chicken was very dry and my dish was watery and pale. My husband's steak was also Bland and Gerste. The sushi tasted good, but the quality was not the best and the reels fell slightly apart. The Yamyum sauce is very sweet. We ordered extra and it's a shame because we don't eat it. We added soy sauce and vinegar to make it pale, but it is still not great. The roasted rice was not the best, but the favorite part of my husband. We can try other dishes in the future, but based on this one meal I cannot recommend this place. For the price you can get a much better food somewhere else. What a shame.
It was actually my hair fashion that convinced me of Red Bowl after completing my appointment to Pop. I looked through her extensive menu consisting of appetizers, beef/chicken/shrimp entrees and sushi. After I went through and thought of my hunger, I decided to go with the sushi. I love a Philly Roll and the Red Bowl Roll looked good, so I got the two. If you buy a drink, the Sushi BOGO is, so my server has worked it out as I could take a bottle of water with me. That helped me so much in the end. Sushi wasn't the best. It was okay, but was super small and only the quality of the ingredients just fell short. Maybe I'd be looking for something else, but not back for the sushi. The great thing was that my server was very nice and worked for the BOGO again. I'd come back for the mix of meat and vegetables that the table had next to me. It smells and looked delicious!
How have I not written this review sooner?!? The bad: service is slower than I?d like, and it seems they may be short staffed, even before the pandemic. The quality of the service is great though, and they always get you what you need. The sushi is buy one, get one when you purchase a soda, and the prices are reasonable even without that deal. The deal just makes it sweeter and entices you to enjoy more of their succulent sushi. All their sushi items are solid choices, whether you?re someone who prefers hot or cold sushi. I can?t speak to the rest of the menu, but my husband orders those items from time to time and is never disappointed. Portions are generous. It?s our first choice.
