I made reservations a few days back, and we visited this restaurant today for dinner. This restaurant is located in downtown Raleigh. There is limited streetside parking directly in front of the restaurant. We were lucky to get one of those spots. There are parking decks throughout downtown but not close to the restaurant. I was in awe at the aesthetics of this restaurant even before going into the building. It has a cool rustic look, a chill vibe, and a unique presence. The inside of the restaurant echoes the same feel and look. This restaurant is in a great location. The hostess greeted us about a minute after we got inside the building and seated us right away. There is an interesting ambience at this restaurant. There are books on shelves and a warm and cozy atmosphere. Our server did not smile much, but he was professional and efficient. Our plan was to order some appetizers and then have the main course and dessert. We wanted to sample various things on the menu, but we ordered so many tapas and also cheeses that by the time we were finished with all of that we only had room for dessert. We enjoyed all items ordered. We are cheese lovers, so we had a sample of three different cheeses. We also had mussels, prawn, calamari, croquettes, and for dessert, flan and cheesecake. The mussels were so delicate and succulent. The prawn was a good size. The calamari was quite tender, and the croquettes were moist with a nice crunch. All dishes were flavorful and tasty. We did not care too much for the cheesecake, but the flan was absolutely fantastic! It is by far the best flan that we have ever had. We had an awesome experience at this restaurant, and we’ll visit again.
Excellent!! Waw this place amazed me from the minute I walked in. The vibe is great, decorations and setting is beautiful, waiter Zak was very helpful and proactive, but most importantly the food was delicious. We tried many tapas and all were excellent. My least favorite was the empanada but still very good. Prices are reasonable. Highly recommend.
First time in Raleigh and I found Barcelona by chance. As a Spaniard I was so curious about the place, so I went in and booked a table fot dinner. The guy at the reception was so nice, not only helped me with my booking but gave some recommendations about where to go around. All the managers and waiters were so warm and helped me pick my choice for the night. The food was really good and made me felt like home!! Very much worthy, go and give it a try!! The place was full, so I am so glad to see Americans enjoying the Spanish taste!
I was hesitant because I am from Spain and the USA is far away from spain, so normally I have been offered some fake food whenever I go to a “Spanish” restaurant. To my surprise, the experience we had here was amazing! My benchmark was the sangria as wine will always taste the same. The sangria carries a good balance of sweetness and citrus flavours and it’s truly refreshing. The food, on point a few things you can tell have been tweaked for the American public such as the Spanish meatballs etc. Nevertheless it’s good tasting food and you do come out quite full from the place. The attention placed on each table is great too and the waiters are knowledgeable about the food they are serving. I assume when food and drinks are good, waiters take pride in what they serve. Next time my Spanish family is in the country, we will definitely be visiting. For the time being, I’ll keep it as my to go place to revisit home whenever I miss it. Get the bread it’s not charged and dip in olive oil they offer. Also sprinkle some salt in the olive oil to bring out its flavour. Go crazy with the tapas!
We had the best time here. The service was amazing and so were the flavors and the food. Then Head Chef Corey came out and absolutely swept us off our feet with an amazing set of dishes and off the menu specialty dishes. The man knows how to work the kitchen. Finally a restaurant that has exceeded our expectations and being from NYC our bar was set pretty high. You have a new couple of 'Regulars '
