Kay Pacha - Quito

We were disappointed in the lunch menu. All other places in the same street offer almuerzo for $2.75-$3.50, so this place was a 150% of the price. Sure, it's cleaner and more modern, but the food was so easy! The dessert was good (mini pudding with Mora and chocolate), soup was ok (small cabbage soup with 1/4 avocado), but the main was only rice, lentils and a tablespoon of mushrooms. Apart from the fungus (which was really a tiny amount), it felt like we only get the side dish of the cheap restaurants on the street. It left me and my friend a little hungry. The quality could vary, the next day we saw that they served vegan ceviche for lunch, but decided to give it no other chance.

Lunch is very rich! And the oyster mushroom ceviche is excellent.

Their food is as beautiful as the place itself. Very nice, clean, and harmonious. The lunch costs 4 dol. They have several options of desserts.

I tried the lunch special and found it to be fresh and incredibly delicious! The price was also very affordable.

I ordered a mushroom sandwich, ceviche, and the daily special for my meal. I also got a piece of cake, a cookie, and some ice cream. Everything was delicious. The staff spoke English and provided me with an English menu. The restaurant also has a restroom. (Reviewed on December 19, 2022)
