Urko Cocina Local - Quito

We chose this place because of the rave reviews. The food was good for the most part but we left with a big hole in our pocket and we were still hungry after the tasting menu. It cost us almost $170 for two, without drinks...which is expensive no matter where you go in the world, and especially here in Ecuador. It was not worth the price in our opinion.

Truly fantastic from start to finish. The tasting menu began with three courses in the rooftop garden as the chef prepared our dishes before our eyes. We then moved to the main dining room, where every course was thoughtfully prepared and included a tableside description of the ingredients and techniques. If you are looking for a special night out in Quito, URKO should absolutely be on your list.

One of the best meals in my life! Truly an incredible experience and delicious food. I have lived in many cities around the world and in Chicago, NY, and DC. I always try to find the best restaurants when I am visiting. This exceeded any expectations I had. Wonderful place, with skilled employees, creative, beautiful and delicious food.

Very good and their vegan option was excellent which is quite exceptional

We loved the meal from start to finish. Introduction to the garden area was great and the savory tastes of the upper deck built up or expectations. The multiple courses were wonderful and the pairing made the meal enjoyable.
