$30 dollars later.Drove by many times going to our lake house. We finally stopped. Very sad ?. My wife and I had high hopes for this place as they have a food truck outside while getting the restaurant renovated behind it. My wife got the small combo, comes with 1 piece of catfish, a few shrimp, 2 hush puppies and fries. The seasoning used on the catfish tasted like pizza seasoning.I got the Poyboy fish meal. Hush puppies and fries.All of it was horrible.The oil they used was old and that’s all you tasted. Everything tasted burnt.Shrimp were over cooked and hard, hush puppies were supper dry, fries were over cooked as well, everything had a burnt old taste to it.Will not be back.Sad to say the least.

I got some to go shrimp dinners a couple months ago and it was fantastic. The shrimp were big and good tasting. It took a couple bites to eat each shrimp.Went back yesterday with my brother. I had been telling him how good the shrimp was.Well I sure looked like a fool when our meal came. The shrimp were like frozen bait shrimp. Had to look for them in the container of overly salted fries. They did say the shrimp were smaller but didn't expect this and was charged the same price as before. They could have put some more in to make up the difference. Will not be back.

Shrimp was precooked frozen from a bag, over cooked and chewy, but ok. Tartar sauce was curdled and rank. The fish had no flavor and weird as if it had been not fresh and frozen as well as soaked in water. Please stop using frozen precooked shrimp. As for the fish mud cat from lake tawakoni would be smart to sell not whatever the hell that was. Just as bad as the horrible Asian Cajun down the street Cajun block Bless your hearts. Wasn’t worth it to me, but will try later hope things improve!

Pops Fish and Shrimp is an amazing place to gather your family/ friends to eat and have a joyous time. The Owners are spectacular people that make you feel very welcome when you arrive and most of all the food is fantastic
