The women working there never answer the phones, even when it's not busy, and they can't manage to handle takeout orders properly. When customers are waiting in line, the staff often ignore them. There might be 5 or 6 people waiting, and one of the employees will pretend to be busy with tasks like cleaning or filling water containers, completely disregarding the customers. This has been a consistent issue throughout the year. It's hard to see how this place can stay in business without proper management and with such unmotivated employees.
This Hong Kong-style tea shop is one of my favorites. I've been enjoying their chewed pork dog rice for over 10 years, but unfortunately, the flavor has declined recently.
The restaurant tends to be quite busy during weekdays, especially on weekends. Placing a call-in order for pickup is a popular option among customers.
I've been coming here for their breakfast special for years. Solid quality and affordable. I recommend their satay beef instant noodle. It's not part of their breakfast special, but it's good enough where I get it almost all the time. Make sure to try their iced milk tea.
Surprisingly not many Hong Kong style tea shops in New York. This is my favorite with all the typical Hong Kong style teas and coffee, and Hong Kong style food cross between western and chinese . Can get Borscht soup, Club sandwich, baked dishes, noodles...etc. Price is very reasonable. If you like Hong Kong bakery style food, this is a must try.
