I Love Paraguay - Queens

I had never eaten Paraguayan before and this place set a very high bar. The inside of the restaurant is very nice and cozy decorated with pictures of landscape and hanging flowers. The staff is as friendly as it gets, attentive and happy to recommend any dish on the menu. The food itself is fresh and tastes better than the image makes it any justice. The short ribs are tender, the sausages almost burst with taste, and the chicken is simple, but tastes amazing. Try it out, you won't be disappointed.

Amazing food. I’ve never had paraguayan food before but was pleasantly surprised that it was a sort of more delicious version of some of the stuff I grew up eating. The fruit drinks are also delicious, and a good bang for your buck.

I visited this restaurant one early evening. The service was minimal but acceptable. The atmosphere is unique and lively, which I really enjoyed. However, the food was disappointing. There was an excessive amount of heavy cream used in the dishes, resulting in a bitter taste. The dessert was also not up to par, with everything being dry and crumbly. I ordered a dessert listed as dark chocolate, but it tasted more like milk chocolate. Overall, this restaurant may hold sentimental value for Paraguayans, as suggested by the name, but it did not meet my expectations. Despite positive reviews, it was a letdown.
