Applebee's Grill - Queens

The restaurant is much quieter than before, as there seem to be significantly fewer customers. However, today’s menu was delightful. The steak was perfectly cooked, and both the salmon and the fish were delicious as well.

The customer service at this franchise is terrible. The waitstaff are rude and lack initiative, often needing to be told how to perform their tasks. I arrived 30 minutes after placing my order, but it was actually ready after just 20 minutes. When I asked about it, the bartender responded with an attitude, claiming it wasn’t ready. I had to remind him of the time and he grudgingly went to check in the back, only to find my food sitting right by the bar in a bag, waiting for him. It’s frustrating to see such incompetence and laziness!

The steak was terrible. The waitress didn’t provide any information about the new menu, which led us to order incorrectly. When we asked about the cost of a side salad, she told us it would be $1.99 if we purchased a meal. However, she ended up charging me $6.99, plus an additional dollar for adding onions to the salad, which was not correct. Overall, the food quality was disappointing, and I won’t be returning. On a positive note, the manager was very courteous and did adjust the bill.

The service took an excessively long time! The restaurant was severely understaffed, and we had to wait over 30 minutes for a server to attend to us. Additionally, we were not provided with any utensils or napkins...

I visited Applebee's for lunch today, and although the wait was a bit long due to the crowd, it was manageable. I waited about 20 minutes for my food, and when it arrived, it looked delicious and inviting. I ordered the Incredible Asian Burger, and it was fantastic! I opted out of the coleslaw, which is part of the original dish, and the waiter recommended substituting it with mushrooms. That was a great choice and added to the burger's flavor. The sauce on the burger had a nice balance of sweetness and spice, and it was amazing! The whisky bacon burger was also good, but it was more of a classic hamburger. The fries on the side were delightful as always. My waitress was friendly and attentive, checking in on me several times throughout my meal. Overall, the service was quite good for a Saturday lunch.
