The worst experience.... this restaurant has lost its original chef and soul. A price that is in no way matched by quality. Pasta with duck confit where the sauce has simmered so much that the duck has frayed like hair making the whole thing look like mush. Dishes at $40 for pasta and around $20 for a starter which are unfortunately poorly executed and where you have to wait for the dish to cool down to obtain grated parmesan. fried squid showing the dark residue of frying oil that needs to be changed. What happened to Il teatro?
Nicely appointed restaurant. Service was good. Food was average to above average, nothing stood out.
We went for lunch. Unfortunately very limited selection. We both settled for ceasar salad. I realized there was fish once I was served, I returned it since I react to it. My husband ate his and enjoyed it. I ordered the beef instead. Once the bill came, they put my salad on the bill. We would have been ok paying for it, but we’re not offered to take it home or told we were being charged. So dinner beware, read the menu carefully before ordering since they have a no return policy.
Fantastic dinner of duck foie gras, Caesar salad, lamb shank in delicious gravy over polenta, and risotto with generous amounts of shrimp, mussels, calamari, scallops and lobster.
