Olio Cuisine Decouverte - Québec

We were staying in the hotel that houses the restaurant and decided to eat there for convenience. The music was a tad loud but the service was excellent. The food was good, not spectacular but it wasn't too expensive either.

They made a soup just for my wife that tasted excellent. French onion soup went down very well. Tapas OK. though patatas a little too spicy but we still finished all the plates. Lots to choose from. Nice modern environment to enjoy a quality meal.

Nice restaurant attached to the Hotel Classique. Food is OK. The prices are a bit steep. It appears to have had an update in decor. The majority of staff were bilingual. However, we had a female bar waitress who could not communicate and was more interested in getting her personal belongings in order to leave for the day. Service was lacking when we were here. We stayed 4 days and had afternoon drinks on 2 occasions. Both times, we had trouble getting someone's attention.

We stayed at the Hotel Classique so we tried the restaurant of the hotel, Olio, a Spanish restaurant. We had the menu for two at $74, including 2 tapas, 2 meals and 2 deserts. Everything was delicious! The ambience was great also, with beautiful lights and Spanish music.

Fine tapas, good service. They serve a reasonably priced house red or white and a variety of cocktails. We opted to share a half litre of white $34, from the wine list and took the special tapas menu of 3 for $25. Final price including 3 tapas and a 250ml glass of wine was just under $50 per person. The restaurant washrooms are a bone of contention for me as they offer one mixed gender washroom with four individual cubicles. Everyone is in the same room at the same time. I saw men in various states of undress in the short time I was there and if you have children, this may not be what you want them to experience. The second time I needed the washroom, I followed the corridor to the adjoining Cosmos Cafe which thankfully does have individual and very separate facilities for each gender.
