The cafe was 2/3 packed with customers that consist of a (kinda loud family, many young adults working on their books or laptops, and some other couples/small groups that were just there to talk. The overall ambience is very relaxing, and the space was plenty we didn't feel cramped at all, given this almost full house of customers! The croissants had been sold out by the time we arrived, but they suggested that we could go buy bread at another bakery right around the corner (which was an awesome suggestion the bread there was great! and just get some drink here. We ordered an Espresso and a macha latte. Both very enjoyable. We came back again on the same day after lunch to work: the attached picture is the “cold brew” and “macha latte.” (The bread in pics is from the bakery they recommended us Working on our laptops here with power sockets, A/C, and nice music selection is a bliss. Would surely recommend this place!
First time going and the service was amazing. The person I spoke with was very sweet explaining the menu and giving me options. Definitely recommend.
The cold brew was so good!! The staff is also very nice :
(This is an update to a prior review Disaster aleeeeeeert! In my last visit I ordered an Americano, as I suggested in a prior review. Well, the Americano was…poured out of tank. Noooooooo! Pleeeease don’t do that! Getting the right type of coffee is Chapter 1 (how to make this…that… of anyone calling him/herself a barista. We’re not aiming for international standard here but just nailing the basics of coffee making. This place is built like a Ferrari but delivers a Chevrolet. The basic material, i.e. the coffee, is excellent and there’s everything to make coffee to love but they keep failing. In fact, that what’s missing here the love of coffee. Next time, I’ll go for an espresso, the mother of all drinks. Fingers crossed. ——————— This place has the potential to be a 5 star. Superb coffee best taken as an espresso, americano or macchiato. The milk is heated beyond its sweet spot and spoils all milk based options latte, flat white, etc.
Espresso review: minor fruity notes are thinly masked by a general burnt coffee flavour, over extraction is likely the key here. Perhaps this is a case of good beans on a bad day I feel this place has more potential. The coffee was either just off the mark on the preparation or on the roasting, and it is disconcerting that I cannot tell which one it is. The cafe has a nice atmosphere, if not indistinctive. They have the right merchandise and the right machinery, so it is hard to pin point where they lose the star in my review. It just feels like something is missing: heart? Soul? Quality control? Perhaps I will try it again to see if it is a bad hair day, but I'll need to sleep over it at the least... There are plenty of fish in the sea, and sometimes it's better to move on than to commit to something that is not right.
