Przekaż informację zwrotnąThere is a reason why this restaurant has received both negative and positive reviews. During my visit, I ordered a water and a beer and was charged over $10, with the water costing $3 and the beer over $7. The waitress insisted on a tip, which I found unnecessary considering the prices and atmosphere of the Irish-style pub. When I refused to tip, the waitress became offended and argued with me, claiming tipping was mandatory. After a tense interaction, she finally allowed me to pay without adding a tip. However, when there was an issue processing my card payment, I decided to pay in cash. The waitress then accused me of being dishonest and refused to give me back my card until I provided the cash. In the end, we paid our bill but were told that we would not receive any further service. Overall, our experience at this restaurant mirrored the negative reviews, and I would not recommend it to others.
As soon as you sit down a glass of peanuts arrives. The service is good, and the prices not too bad. A great place to sip a beer (or gin and tonic) and people watch. Really enjoyed it.
We were there in the evening having a beer and we had a bad experience, mainly because of a blond waiter: She used to serve peanuts with the drinks only on few tables, of course, not on our. She tried to remove my...glass before I have finished my beer. She was not too fast, she used to lose her time drinking shots with other customers. Finally, when I paid she forgot' to give me the change, I had to ask the other waiter for it. If I were you I would choose another place to have a drink in Quebec City.
The waitstaff at this restaurant can be pushy when it comes to tipping, with a suggested amount of 15-20%. We ended up paying $62 for just drinks and were even asked to give our order at the register. They are very insistent on receiving tips, and will even claim they have to cover it themselves if it's not at least 15%. The tipping policy is not clearly stated on the menu, so be cautious when dining here. It may be best to spend your money at a different restaurant where you can enjoy a meal without feeling pressured to tip excessively.
The most intact happy hour. a night was practically empty at 20.00 clock, the next half full, so there are local practices that are not obvious. worth visiting, but really about drinks and not eating – free odours are not worth sacrificeing themselves.
