Ben Thanh Restaurant - Québec

Good food and lots of variety It may be overwhelming for some with such a large menu so take a minute to read it all over.

I found this restaurant on my Find Me Gluten Free app while on my way to Toronto.

We came in with a large group and the service was good.

My first time eating from Ben Thanh. Ordered take out on my way home from work. I believe it was ready when I arrived but had to wait about 10 minutes to get service, which was fairly annoying.Upon receiving service, I paid and was then presented with my order, which was wrong. When I informed them that I did not order one of the dishes, I was told that I had. I explained what I had ordered, only to be informed that my order was confirmed. Never once did the restaurant offer to refund the money or replace the dish with what I had ordered.I reluctantly took the wrong (more expensive) order along with the correct portion of my order. I ate my order, which was decent but not as good as I've had other places. I sampled the errant order in hopes of salvaging the experience but unfortunately it was not good.Pretty poor first experience; do not recommend for take out.

This was my second visit to this restaurant, I enjoyed both my meals here. The servings are pretty generous and I found that I had been a little over ambitious with my ordering last year, so I was a little more conservative for this latest visit. Especially good Spring Rolls. Highly recommended.Warrior193.
