Cellar 8 Wine and Espresso Bar - Pymble

Had a great evening last Saturday night when our table of 8 enjoyed a good range of tasty bar food washed down with great wine, beer and after dinner cocktails. Thanks to the friendly, attentive staff who ensured our experience was an enjoyable one and to owners Tony and Sue for keeping the doors open for us. A great place to go with a group of friends for a casual, enjoyable evening on the north shore. See you again soon!

A group of us went to Cellar 8 last Saturday night and had a wonderful evening. The tapas style menu we ordered was first class and the cocktails too! The owners are friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The barman knew his stuff, was great to chat with and clearly loves working there. This is a great local establishment that is so needed on the North Shore. We will definitely be back :)

If your idea of waiting two hours for a main course appeals to you, then this will likely become your favourite restaurant. We ordered 2 serves of garlic [herb type] bread as an appetiser for the 7 of us, and individual share plates. The first serve of bread arrived after an hour. The second plate was 20 minutes later. 2 hours after we ordered our mains, they finally arrived. We questioned staff. All they could say was, ‘it will be soon’. It was a Tuesday night so not particularly busy. People who arrived after us were served before us, and not much urgency was shown by staff. Oh, and the food was ordinary at best. Maybe if we had gone there just for wine it might have been better. But we didn’t. And it wasn’t!

We enjoyed a lovely dinner and many delicious vinos with friends. We were seated at the big table in the wine room and were treated so well. Food was delicious and generous and while everything was good, special shout-out to the garlic bread which was just so good. How can carbs after 8 be bad when they taste that good!?! Looking forward to going again soon - a real find on the upper north-shore. The owners really made a particular effort and they deserve all their success.

Tucked away close to the train station, this cosy little bar offers great food and wine. You can even sit outside.
