7-eleven - Punta Gorda

The staff at this restaurant were incredibly friendly, especially the young lady who guided me in choosing my first Slurpee flavor ever (Pineapple Mango, which was delightful!). Coming from a place without 7-11s, I had never experienced one before. The whole establishment was exceptionally clean and well-maintained.

The restaurant on State Road is always open but they do not serve coffee. When I asked the staff for coffee, it was a waste of time. 7-11s are usually known for their 24/7 coffee service, but this particular restaurant was a disappointment for me and other truckers looking for a late-night drink.

Sharon is a completely revolting elderly woman. On Thanksgiving, she yelled at my 88-year-old grandfather and 14-year-old brother. She even told my Italian American grandfather to speak English in America, although he was already speaking English! Perhaps her ears are blocked from her last crack binge or from smoking a whole carton of cigarettes before her shift. She refused to assist my grandfather in buying a lottery ticket, and when she rang us up, she called us vulgar names. This kind of behavior from a rude old woman is completely unacceptable. A complaint has been filed with corporate, and she should be fired.

Since the new management took over, the restaurant has undergone a complete transformation. I used to avoid going there because there were a lot of issues, but I recently met the new manager and a friendly young woman who apologized for past mistakes. They were wonderful and I look forward to returning to see their friendly faces again.
