Passion By Martin Berasategui At Paradisus Punta Cana

My wife and I went for dinner here one evening. Considering the hype surrounding this place I expected something much much better. I've got nothing against the staff they performed their duties well and were lovely all evening although I couldn't understand what they were saying when the food arrived i'm not sure they were convinced of what it was so they were saying it with a mumble. It setting was nice with food questionable in parts the tuna was definitely off. Some of it had to be served on a bed of small ice cubes to help keep its shape. Of course you only found this out when you crunched down on one thinking it was part of the dish. You're paying for the privilege at $80 plus tax and wine on top (and more if you had to hire a baby sitter like we did) and this so called 8 Michelin Star chef having designed the menu (not sure he's been anywhere near this kitchen recently) you would definitely expect much better food. It was fancy for fancy sake. Too many foams, not enough substance. The only course that was any good was the bread and butter/spreads, and the mushroom ravioli (it was delicious). I would have been happy to for a bowl of that. There were other people around us tutting, shaking their heads and complaining about the food too so it wasn't just us. I didn't take any pictures of the food because none of it wowed me. Avoid this place. It's not worth the money. If you wanted to gamble go to the casino instead.

More than a restaurant, it was an experience. The taste mix of each course was beyond my words. Perfection is what I could say.

Excellent world-class service at Passion Restaurant! Bienvenido Guerra deserves an increase! The whole experience deserves memory! And of course my wife.

Really great from start to finish. I did the tasting menu and the flavor combinations were spot on. They happily accommodated my allergies, coming up with other delicious courses. The waitstaff was spectacular. (Thank you, Martín, Senia, and Cheila! I can’t wait to dine here again.

Way, worth the extra money!!! And definitely the wine pairing. Don't miss this! It was an amazing experience and the food was excellent. Immediately in place with every excellent restaurant in NYC! Our waiters Luis and Joel were exceptional! Also, as to mention Junior, Herasme, Juan, Hector and Cesar, as they were our waiters because a large group just came after us. Your service during dinner made the meal an unforgettable experience that we will never forget! Best night we had there...high, highly recommended!!! We wish we could go back now!!!
