Stashu's Con Fusion

One of the best options to eat in Puerto Viejo Downtown with very good vegetarian options and a friendly atmosphere.

I had the Carribean Curry and WOW! Each vegetables on the plate were perfectly cooked. Everything was cooked exactly to a point where I love it (apart from the potatoes they were not exactly my thing, but damned, everything else was just perfection). I love herbal textures in many forms lmao but very rare I have a dish where everything is pure perfection for me haha. The sauce was also very good and the salad that comes with it was also amazing. I ordered a smoothie a surprise smoothie, I asked her to mix just something and it was also amazing. It was one of the best dishes I tried in CR. It's cheap and the part is big imo, I was super full. The Canadian owner is also very friendly. The place is popular with foreigners and has a fantastic view of the sea. Updated by previous rating on 2022 04 23

Really amazing veggie Caribbean style pad Thai! I could eat that every day. It came with an appetizer salad with earlier type of curry flavored chickpeas and selected vegetables that if I only ate that I would be happy. Beautifully presented and beautiful beach views. The waitress and waitress were both fast, attentive and super pleasant. It was nice to see them both to admire the sunset as they actually like their jobs and location. Hard to find that in every restaurant it was nice. Great vegan options and the Tamarindo Margarita was very delicious!

I don't know where to start. From the first floor of Stashu you have a magnificent view of the sunset that would make a visit worth a visit alone. But above there is the amaaazing food. I had a Caribbean Madras Curry and was not disappointed. Even if not mentioned on the menu, it came with a super tasty and tasteful salad. And a massive part. The waitress Meghan was a real jewel. Not only did she care about me and was super fast, she was also a great help to recommend the dish and season it to my taste. The owner also visited the table and we had a nice chat. I cannot highly recommend this place if in doubt: go!

We enjoyed our meals here and thought they were good value too. I especially liked the different elements arranged on the plate it added colour, extra flavors, and was overall a nice touch. The cocktails were really good too. Would have been nice to have some tofu or something to replace the meat, but otherwise the meals were great! Updated from previous review on 2021 07 16
