Vitea - Puerto Vallarta

We ate here last week with four friends. We have eaten here many times over the past few years and have always enjoyed our meals here and at Vitea’s sister restaurant, Trio. After reading many recent negative reviews ofTrio, we decided to not eat there. Since our friends decided to go to Vitea, we reluctantly agreed despite many negative reviews as well. I ordered the Greek salad which had many brown and wilted pieces of lettuce. I then had the French onion soup which was lacking in flavor. My husband ordered the shrimp tempura which again was quite tasteless. One of our friends ordered the pork tenderloin which she thought tasted “funny” and the waiter took it off the bill. We all said that we would not return. So sad after so many delicious meals at both restaurants.

We accidentally left expensive sunglasses at the restaurant. We came back figuring that the glasses were lost, but they were returned to us which was really appreciated!

The service was friendly and the atmosphere was nice on Christmas Eve for dinner, but the food was only ok. My dinner came out cold but they remedied it quickly and without issue.

Great meal, took a little longer than expected, had the red snapper, seafood fettuccine, burger/fries for the kiddo. Shoulda sat inside to avoid a couple persistent wasps but otherwise nice view. Saw a couple great street performers while we waited for food! Moderately priced but was really satisfying.
