For the second time I was the only customer, but still got terrible service. Last time I had just finished eating and still drank my drink when a bigger group came in. He took my table and pulled it for them, and I stayed in the middle of the room with my drink in my hand! Unbelievable!!
We had the scrambled egg plate with bacon. And the shrimps and spinach omelet. Meals come with beans, potatoes, toast and jelly. Raul was our conversation, he was super nice and accommodating. Will definitely go back during our trip. You have a daily dinner... too. Couldn't finish everything, big part. Including coffee and juice 1650 pesos.
We have been eating here once or twice a season for years. We went at 9:00 on a Friday night and there was no one else there. We somewhat nervously ordered drinks, salads and dinner. Of course, service was good. When the food arrived we...were pleasantly surprised that it was as tasty as it had always been. We the Caesar salad with chicken, club house sandwich, coconut shrimp and the special of the day, pork chop. All were tasty with good portions. Prices as reasonable as ever. We will certainly return.
This used to be a favorite place to grab a drink (or 3) and some food. I loved sitting by the rail and watching the hustle and bustle on the street below. I was amazed to walk in to see a handful of people. Despite...this, no one came to take my drink order and after the waitstaff passed many times and avoided eye contact, I got up and walked out. So disappointing.
My girlfriend and I decided to pop into this restaurant as the menu looked very appealing (both food and price wise). My girlfriend is vegan, meaning she cannot have any dairy or meat. She had found a dish called "the taco bowl" under the salad section of the menu, which was easily adaptable to be vegan (remove the sour cream and ranch dressing). As we entered the restaurant, we sat ourselves before being greeted by the waitress. My girlfriend immediately asked about the taco bowl and whether or not she could substitute guacamole for the sour cream and ranch dressing. The waitress looked at another woman who then nodded her head and our waitress said yes. I ordered a cheese burger with an appetizer of guacamole and tortilla chips. As we waited for our food, we looked around the restaurant which had a decent view but was rather empty except for two older rowdy men at the bar. Not the best looking restaurant but we excited for the food. As the food arrived, the appetizer arrived first, with cheese on the guacamole. This was nowhere indicated on the menu but I managed to scrape it off for my girlfriend. She then made sure to tell the waitress not to add cheese to her guacamole. The main dishes arrived only moments later, with cheese spread all over my girlfriend's taco bowl. She was very upset as this was not indicated on the menu. She sent it back slightly annoyed but nowhere near as frustrated as she would be next. As the waitress brought back the taco bowl, it no longer had cheese but it had a hardy portion of chicken on it. My girlfriend was in shock as THIS WAS NOT INDICATED ON THE MENU. She scraped it all off, on the verge of crying because of frustration. The taco bowl lacked beans and bell peppers (which were ironically indicated on the menu) and she simply could not finish due to her disgust. My cheeseburger was ok, the bread was stale, the cheese was bland and the fries tasted like twigs. On top of that, the waitress was talking behind our backs in Spanish saying "that girl never told me no cheese" as though we couldn't understand a word. Average price, rather big portions but very poor service and a complete mismatch in terms of the food we actually received and what we had in fact ordered.
